This Summer (June 22-29), Redeemer will be hosting a TASC (Teens Actively Serving Christ) group. Many of you may remember that we have had students go on TASC trips in the past, but we have the opportunity to host a group of high school students from all over the country. After being commissioned by the church on Sunday, the weekday is full of service projects for students to put their faith into action. Many projects are aimed at helping members of the church and the community who may not have the ability to complete the projects themselves, so it can be an incredible way of edifying the church and witnessing to neighbors and family. At the end of each day there is a time of devotion with a leader speaking on a topic and small groups for discussion and prayer. I've personally seen what encouragement and opportunity for growth it is for our students, and I'm thrilled that Redeemer gets to host!

While we have a great team of coordinators who will be spearheading the work on our TASC week, it really is the work of the whole church. We would ask you to begin to pray for the week of TASC, that students would come to both bless and be blessed by their experience, and that we as a church might be further encouraged in our witness and good works. Please also be on the lookout for updates and opportunities for potential service. There are some "non-typical" ways to serve and care for students during the week like writing letters of encouragement, acting as a "shower home" or leading a work site for a day (or the week!). So, we invite you to partner with the TASC leadership team through prayer and serving alongside these students.
